WATER WELL DRILLING

People switch to a borehole supply for many reasons, the main ones are;

  • Boreholes provide an all year round supply of water at a consistent quality.
  • Owning a borehole is comparable to having your own bottled water, on tap.
  • Properly sized, a borehole (pump) can provide mains pressure and flow.
  • No licence is required for domestic users abstracting less than 20m3 per day.

From initial fact finding (Borehole Prognosis) to the installation of the latest filtration technology, Springhill provide a “one-stop-shop” for water boreholes and all private water supplies.

Borehole Prognosis

Before entering into a contract with a borehole driller, some customers will prefer to assess the likelihood of finding water before placing the order. A borehole prognosis is based on existing geological information and local borehole records. Although there is no guarantee that a prognosis will predict exact yield and water quality it will provide some idea of what can be achieved. A basic prognosis costs £125, whilst a more detailed report costs £350. In most cases, a basic report is sufficient.
