ENVIRONMENTAL STATEMENT
Managing Director, Geoff Nemec is a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) and Chartered Water and Environmental Manager (CIWEM), qualifications that demonstrate the highest level of professional recognition that can be achieved by practitioners within the water and environmental sectors.
As water and environmental managers we are conscious of our social
and environmental impact, both locally and internationally.
We acknowledge that the planet is experiencing a climate crisis and
human activity is the primary cause. Like many other businesses
we realise there is a need to make radical changes to the way we operate
and we are taking positive steps to move to a more sustainable future..
Our current activities include:
- Weekly r ecycling of all cardboard
- Weekly recycling of all paper
- Safe disposal of all UV lamps
- Recycling of glass / jars / bottles
- Re-use of packaging
- Low energy light bulbs installed throughout our premises
- Refill printer cartridges
- Use recycled paper where possible
We
have scheduled a detailed environmental auidt to take place in January
2008. The aim is to identify ways in which we can make fundamental
changes to the way we operate, particularly in terms of reducing
carbon emissions, water usage and fuel consumption.
