The Springhill Board of Directors are proud to announce the promotion of Karen Wain to the role of Managing Director. Former Financial Director, Karen has worked in an Engineering environment for over 20 years. In a recent interview with a local newspaper, Karen was asked how she felt about being one of the only Managing Directors in the water industry. “I am a woman working in a male dominated environment and I love it”. Says Karen, with a broad smile. “The guys are probably over-protective but it’s a two way street. They provide me with the technical support when I need it and I make sure they have the resources they need to carry out their roles as water engineers. It’s a win / win situation”.
